CHS

Day 1

Cold start to morning with frost delaying start until 9:15, giving the kids time to enjoy the Bacon & Eggs rolls put on by the Temora Club.

1st Game played Rutherford. Trailed at start giving opposition a 7 point lead then coming back to win 15-11 Elderslie started a little flat then got into the game & never looked back.

2nd Game Elderslie played Dapto. Trailed again giving away a 6 point lead & then coming back to win again. Once again started flat & again showed their maturity & came away with the win 15-10.

3rd Game played Dural. Game started with ends going from equal for both sides then Elderslie pulled away to a 6 point lead with most bowls going their way to a convincing win with final score 13-7.

Winning all 3 games made Elderslie sectional winners and qualified them for the semi finals on day 2.

Day 2
Warmer start with no frost.

Semi final was played against Engadine. Elderslie came out firing and got the win 23-10 to advance to the final.

The Final !!
Game started with Warilla. Teams playing for each end at start. Warilla Skip came into his own to foil Elderslie Lead & Second Bowls, also to block our skips attempt to win the end.

Warilla going on to win by a small margin 18-14.

All Elderslie players performed extremely well & should hold their heads high for Second in the State finishing position & also coming up against last years winners.

Elderslie were dominate in all matches winning 49-1, 21-6, and 27-2. A great effort by former and current members of Camden Bowling Club.

Zone 5 Junior Championships

At Wentworth Falls Bowling Club on the 16th April 2015 Sam Dukes representing Southern Tablelands WON the Zone 5 Fours Championships. Playing Second created the platform for a very convincing win in the final and was the outstanding player of the day and the team now plays in the State Championships at Warilla in July.

As a result of his fine play Sam was also selected in the Zone 5 7-a-side team to play at Figtree in August. We wish him well in both events.

Team: Tracey Lee Swift (Goulburn), Brodie Halls (Goulburn), Sam Dukes (Camden), Bradley Smith (Crookwell).
